    Work Design Studio has seen it all in healthcare. We have experience in leading complex stakeholder engagement sessions, LEAN programming, clinical planning, interior design, and project management – everything to do with the spaces designed for wellness.

  • Commercial Interiors

    Commercial interiors are more than just that– they’re spaces to engage, to crack jokes, spaces to be inspired and to create– they’re spaces for connection between people. Our workplace design is intended to reflect the need for meaningful connection between people, inside and out.

  • Community + Public Space

    We're moving from independent and prescriptive spaces to those which strive to incorporate the perspectives of the broader community. We are looking to create spaces that facilitate and support communities – those which are thoughtful, engaging, and part of the larger whole.

  • We offer creative solutions to optimize workflow, support strategic business objectives, and create meaningful connections between people and places. As it pertains to workplace environments, spaces should encourage us to excel.

    For us, this means disrupting the standard model, and providing opportunities for flexibility and collaboration. Based on current research and industry best-practices, we’re always looking for ways to differentiate: to ensure there’s intention in everything we do.

  • Projects often require extensive consultation with user groups, and an understanding of various work styles. In practice, this means confirmation of programming equipment, safety requirements, and workflows that impact operations. We look to ensure that the people using the space feel their impact after it’s built.

  • Work Design Studio offers functional space programming as a value added service, providing detailed identification of the accommodation requirements for an organization, facility, component, or group of activities. Our programming is evidence based: driven by the demand for services, utilization, staffing requirements, and flows of information, material, supplies, and people. As interior designers, we have the ability to ensure continuity through all phases of the design process, and oversee projects transition from planning, to design, to the built environment.

 

  • Work Design Studio is deeply committed to environmental sustainability, and lends to each project a holistic sustainable approach to our environment, design, buildings, and construction.

    Our design philosophy focuses on health and wellness — both in the material finishes we select, and the spaces designed for flexibility and growth. The WORK team is LEED® accredited, and have experience working on LEED® certified projects.

  • We strive to deliver efficient, creative, and progressive spaces that have meaningful impact on the client’s teams, business, and culture. We find opportunities to blend industry best practices with our knowledge across diverse market sectors to deliver innovative solutions that will support people while they work, learn, live, and heal. The recommendations provided are based on detailed feasibility and utilization studies done in collaboration with our clients.

  • Appropriate furniture selection can make or break a space, and can completely impact the way a space feels and functions. We select furniture to support the overall design concept, working with stakeholders to ensure it supports their various needs and requirements.

    We work hand-in-hand with commercial furniture vendors to ensure selections are appropriate, and will last well into the future.
